@ Wubbawucky, I realize this and it is an excellent rifle for such a purpose. When I replied to hmunkey I was trying to emphasize that it was our primary rifle before the advent of the M16. I should have made it clear it was still used, but in a limited, specialized role rather than implying it was obsolete. And definitely way too much muzzle climb for suppressive fire . . . but a tack driver as a semi-auto.
