There's obviously a lot that's messed up with this story, but there's one bit that really bothers me. The kid was arrested Monday. The cookies tested negative sometime on Wednesday, but the kid wasn't released until Thursday night. That's 24-30 hours of jail time for someone shown innocent by much more conclusive evidence than the first tests that put him in jail. Why the delay? I am sick and tired of cops leaving people in jail. For example, my friend blew just below the limit during a recent traffic stop. They didn't let her go though. They took her to the police station where she blew below the limit again, but they still kept her in a cold jail cell all night to sleep off her non-intoxication.

And Obama wants to do that while getting you to blame McCain for the whole thing.
